Just been told that BanKi-Moon wants the two leaders to meet him again in June of this year.I suppose to discuss what has now become a political stalemate. How much longer will these shennanigans be allowed to carry on.Turkey have always wanted a time frame on this, but have not been allowed one.

Surely now has to be the time to have a tri-partite meeting,to sort out this mess that has been going on for far too long now.Time for a different tact, instead of going round and round in circles,

Paul.

You cant walk away as you will be blamed for the failure of the talks.

Both sides should at least agree on a different venue, thus taking the pressure of the poor, hard done by diplomats.

The next round of talks should be held at the Sandy Lane hotel, Barbados, where the statesmen (and wives, children and counsins, of course) can relax in proper 5 star luxury where they can talk to their hearts content over the occasional rum punch.

The costs can be met from the Provident fund, which I believe still has a few million TL floating around.

.......................and on and on and on and on ........................ad infinitum.

What a waste of money keeping these talks going.

The Greek Cyprus church will never allow a GC President to do a deal.

End of story.

Yawn.............................................................nite nite jim boy

Geoff

Agree with your thoughts on this, though the talks need to continue for everyones (politicians) benefit.

They cant stop now.

If there is an agreement how will us expats benefit? Or will the GCs tell us to leave as we bought illegally according to them.
