we used to do mostly traditional main courses together with some international dishes as you know. we decided to increase the options and added some more traditionals as well as more international dishes.we now have more fillet steak options, variety of fish dishes apart from the usual sea bream on charcoal, more chicken options and a very nice pasta menu with a little bit of italian twist. we paid attention to have a different menu so i hope you like it.

Fikri ,

I prized myself away from my favourite.............the Mousakka........still the best I have tried and went for the Mexican chicken. Very good. The boss had the garlic mushrooms and said they tasted perfect. She had pan fried lamb and was very impressed.

We went last week for a late lunch and took some visiting friends with us. Everyone loved the food and we all thought the restaurant was great - a what warm welcoming people too. I had the sea bream over charcoals (wonderful) and the others had the mousakka that we had read about and they said it certainly lived up to the rave reviews. It's a long way for us to travel from the Karpaz but it will definitely be our No 1 choice for our next visit to the Girne area.

Another point, we have a friend who is a strict veggie and were thinking about taking her when she comes over next time so we checked out the menu and there is loads of choice for a veggie and they all sound really interesting and tasty choices (which is not always the case in Cyprus).

It is obvious that a lot of care and thought has gone into this new menu and we wish them all the best for their efforts.

Had a couple of hours to kill today while one of our dog's was at the vets so decided to have lunch out.

Having read this thread, we decided to give Tanners a try.



We were greeted by a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome.....was this your wife Fikri?



Food was lovely...I recommend the chicken stuffed with Spinach and Gouda cheese......absolutely delicious.

Nice clean restaurant, nicely presented food and excellent value for money.



Will definately return.

the lady greeted you is my lovely mother Judy, she helps me a lot with the restaurant. she looks after the restaurant when i am away and i am glad you liked the new menu thank you very much.

yes i am Judy, she is the best help i have it wouldn't be like this without her. i always liked to be a small family business instead of becoming a big established restaurant that counts the heads if you know what i mean.

most of our customers now that has been coming here for long are like family members now and i am really glad that my place has an atmosphere like this and i hope that family keeps on getting bigger as it did in the last couple of years.
