Driveover, re. the router, just thought I'd tell you, I shopped around for some time and they all seem to be 85tl upwards (£32). I went online and bought one through Ebay for £8 - exactly the same! If you know someone coming out, this might be your best bet - always best to buy new with routers hubby always says.

Just a word of warning. I use a Turkcell dongle and brought out a USB/3 G router to use with it. I spent hours trying to set up, went in t Turkcell main office who could/ would not help. I then went to computer shop who said that Turkcell protocol stops the use of the 3G router ( can tell from the MACaddress). They want you to have a dongle per PC. Not sure why as you pay for data throughput anyway. I wanted to be able touse both PCs without having to mess around unplgging and plugging in.

I use a Telsim 3g dongle through a 3g router, the router is called zoom and works perfectly. Setting it up took a little while, you have to get the APN number for the provider you are using. If you get a Telsim dongle I can give you the APN number.

Gallowgate, is it easy to set up if you just use the dongle? And how much is it for the dongle. We only come out for 2-3 weeks at a time and are looking for the most economical way to use the internet.

Message 9. Its easy once you have the information. Telsim do a deal at the moment for 100TL that includes the dongle and 1gb per month for 3 months. The router I use is around £35 and makes the dongle into a wifi setup. I believe Telsim is cheaper than Turkcell but other members may disagree. My place is in Edremit and I have a great signal and service. If you do go down the Telsim route then let me know and I will give you the APN details.
