| Hi, A couple of weeks ago there was a thread about the residents of Hilltop Bogaz having a meeting with the British Residents Society. The meeting was to try and get some advice about parcellisation and title deeds for the Medview site. Although I don't own a property at Hilltop, I do own a Medview home which does not have title deeds. I would be interested in how this meeting went and if the advice given was helpful. | Avril. Do not hold your breath for deeds. Ali is pot less, which makes paying taxes problematic. |

| .I actually attended myself ,but received this email today from another property owner here:- The meeting held at the Hill Top Restaurant last Friday was attend by approx. 40 BRS and non-BRS members. David Brown, Treasurer of the BRS came over from Girne to take part in a Question and Answer session to discuss member issues which included Property and Residency concerns. The feedback we have received from people who attended was that David gave us a lot of food - for - thought but no guarantees that there would be any major changes in the near future. What did come over was that he was personally committed to getting the BRS committee to be more assertive and get our concerns to become more of a priority with the TRNC Government. A measure of the level of success of the meeting was that we had a number of people wishing to become New members or Renew their present membership after the meeting and at the Harbour on Saturday |

Another Question and Answer session is provisionally planned for Saturday 7th May with David Brown once again coming over from Girne but also Marion Stokes of the Home buyers Pressure Group and Peyman Erginel ( Turkish solicitor to the BRS ) have also agreed to attend. | Look forward to hearing what happens then. But I cannot understand where this will go. To the Government? But this has all been said very loudly before. I am sure most people are aware of the current situations and how the law stands and what has been done, can be done etc, etc, and although I sympathise so very, very much with all these problems (and I DO have one of my own), I still feel that primary energy should be put to sorting out the K5 people and the Amaranta valley etc, etc, before the other matters can be dealt with. But there we are, that is just my opinion, and I express it because so often these meetings raise the hopes of those with problems to a level of belief that THIS TIME it will all get solved, and so often people end up in tears. But then again, I guess that is better than silence, as it is in silence that evil often prevails. What do other Cyprus 44 readers feel ? I am genuinely curious - NOT for the sake of writing a report, but for the sake of underst |
