Can any one tell me, if you post a parcel from North Cyprus to the UK do they give you a tracking number? Or can you send it registered/recorded, and then you are given a tracking number, this will be the first parcel I am sending, just want to know the procedure before I go to the post office, and would like to be able to track it so I know it gets there ok.

Thanks, any info will be helpful.

Yes, you can register it (it costs 1tl extra), they will give you a tracking number and the website is :

http://www.postadairesi.com/index.php?lang=tr.

BUT, in my experience, it only tracks things OUT of TRNC, as far as Istanbul and then dies!

Having said that, everything I've sent with the extra 1tl and the registration identity has arrived - in both Australia and the US.

Also, Alsancak post office cannot send parcels, you will need to go to Lapta ...... or Girne I suppose, Lapta's easier from Alsancak
