Are you English or Turkish Hula?

I am English and the best thing we ever did was send our kids to a local Turkish speaking Nursery. Mine are now 3 and 5 and my 5 year old is fluent in both Turkish and English (Turkish school and English at home).

If however you are Turkish speaking at home and want an English school for that reason I'm sure other members will advise you which ones are best.

Cheers,

Colourland Prep School in Zeytinlik teaches the children in English, following the English curriculum, but the vast majority of the children are Turkish speaking so my child is now bi-lingual. They can go from 8am till 6pm with meals and snacks included at a cost of 650tl per month, less if you only do mornings I believe. It's a lovely school with fantastic teachers and really modern facilities including a computer room. Ring 0393 816 0418 for more details or look at their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profile.php?id=100000486221993

If you are looking for English speaking only, then (Miss Judy's) Porters English Reading Centre is an excellent choice, they take children from 2 1/2 and teach very much using the 3 'r's. The cost per month from September is £200.008.30 to 3.30.

Do go and have a look at any of the schools and take your little one with you, thats

what I did with my son, he basically chose where he wanted to go. Wish you luck in your search, if you want any further details their email address is porterenglishreadingcentre@hotmail.co.uk .

Miss Judys (Porter English Reading School) is absolutely brilliant. My son who is nearly 4 has been going there for a year now and loves every minute. He has learnt so much and is learning to read and write. After a year he still wants to go every day and is upset when he cant go at the weekend (believe me we have tried to get them to extend their hours to cover the weekend!!)

They are a small, friendly, family run school with fantastic teachers. Highly recommended.

My 3 year old goes to Munnever Bindayi in Karakum, it is a Turkish nursery but he now has a teacher that speaks English. He has been going for over a year and loves it. He goes 4 full days a week 8.30am to 4pm and it's 380 tl a month.

I would recommend you visit Colourlands & Judy Porters English Reading Centre. Decide which is the best option for your child. Look at the children & see if most have happy faces

What's the point of starting a post and then not coming back to acknowledge people's replies?

Thanks, I just checked out the Facebook page.It seems like a good location with good staff.I also heard about Porter Reading Centre and would be very interested to learn more about their program. My daughter is an early reader and she would love to improve her reading skills.

Do you know if they have a website or else should I just ring them?

Many thanks

Hello,

I like the way your child got used to the nursery so much.I have a three year old daughter.I have been teaching her English ever since and as a nonnative speaker she is really good. She is already an early reader.Porter Reading Centre would be an ideal place for her.Is there a website I can view? I would love to hear about their early reading programs. Thanks to my little one, I have become very into early reading field.

Many thanks

darla1 . The email address is porterenglishreadingcentre@hotmail.co.uk and really worth a visit. As you say especially if your child is an early reader, most of the children from creche upwards are readers.

Wish you luck in your search.

Hello and thanks for your reply!

I will email the Porter Reading Centre to get more information about the school and the program. As you say, it may be the best option since my little one is very into reading.

I will see how things go.

Have a nice day!
