Understand Tourist Visas are only for 30 days now. Can anyone confirm this ? Why are TRNC doing this ? I thought they wanted more tourists. Hotels could do with some long term tourists over the Winter period.

Hi essex, I thought I read somewhere that yes your right they have reduced them to only 30 day visas- but you can renew them whilst you are out there if you wish but you have to do this before the other one runs out?? See ya D P.S- I think it may just be a ploy to reduce the visa time so you have to re-new and they charge you to renew it to earn a bit of extra money from you thats all!! UNLESS IM MISTAKEN???

I think one reason is to stop people working on a tourist visa. The usual thing, a minority spoil it for the rest of us!

My parents flew home to England at the end of August and the customs man told them they could stay for 3 months on the stamp they had. Is this because they use the paper provided at customs rather than getting their passport stamped? It's all very confusing.
