Does anyone know of a bar or club in the Kyrenia area where there is a table tennis table for two teenage boys here on holiday?

Check out the Tennis Club in Girne, I 'think' they have a table tennis table.



You will usually get hold of the chap (Hilmi) who runs it in the evenings running tennis lessons.

There is a large club in lefkosia on the road behind Yar Plus. If you are on the lefkosia- Gazimusa road turn right at the traffic light just past Kibris office (the junction with the Fiat garage) and keep on down that road for quite a while until you see the Yar shop on the right. Turn down that road and opposite the Yar back door Is the table tennis club.

Yes there is a big club in Lefkosia as described in message 7 with good players and lots of juniors in fact their best team plays in the super league in turkey. Also in the Essenteppi hotel there is a table to play on.

Hi Roley. Yes I did go to the tennis club but unfortunately, as it was raining, the person I went to see (Hilmi) was not there. I did however speak to another man (Zia) who has a daughter that is apparently very good and top in her age group in TRNC. He knows of a school in Girne that has 6 tables !! He has taken my number and said he will contact me. When he does, I'll post what he says.

Last time I was at 'Pia Bella' hotel, there was a table tennis table - it's been there for the last coupla three years and I've seen people playing on it from time to time.



I bought our TT in the South, at a 'nurth' of the price of this rip-off place.

So i ask all you table tennis fans out there does anyone feel like meeting for a game at some point next week? Obviously we should ask the hotel what the situation is with the table and if they would let us play on it.

I'm up for a game next week. However,not Monday at any time or Tuesday evening, otherwise whenever.



Where would you suggest ??



If it's to be at the Pia Bella or Acapulco, would you mind visiting and enquiring if ok as your profile says you are at Kyrenia and I'm out near Tatlisu !!



It would be really great to have a game (not to mention trying to peel the bat out of it's case where it's been for the last few years).
