Without addressing the cause "Lack of Damp course" you will always have Damp problems....The best solution is to fit E,O." Electro Osmotic" Damp course.....Or strip the plaster to a height of 900mm and treat the walls with "Vandex" or equivalent ...I am afraid that poor building techniques are to blame ,and remedies are Expensive...Good Luck

Dare I suggest that you wait for a few more months due to the recent heavy rains. There is absolutely no point in repairing the plaster until it is completely dried out. You could hurry it up by knocking off all the loose stuff. Keeping the windows open will help. We do ours every year. Just an ongoing thing really. The thing is, after doing it for 7 years we know now not to do it too soon, waste of time and money. Be patient.

msg9,,,, Just think, 7 years re touching plaster, whereas if the house had been built with any know-how at all, there would be no need, I think it should be called the "Other Cyprus Problem"..There are remedies, but all are either very disruptive or very expensive ...:(
