If you have a property problem and want to a permanent record of it kept in the public eye or want to add your vote to a poll about your experience of banks, builders, advocates, landowners or government organisations then read Dominic Freeman's article at http://www.northcyprusfreepress.com/2011/04/22/fed-up-with-your-trnc-property-problem-being-ignored/

Good news, so far there are very few property problems reported! This seems to confirm the Cyprus Today report that very few people had problems with their Advocates worth reporting to the Law Society. Well to be precise, no one reported an Advocate even though there were no costs involved.

I think mainly that its within the British psyche not to draw attention to their misfortunes which is the reason that no one has come forward.

I certainly should have done, my lawyer was a cheat and blackmailed me to pay twice for the same service, but I would not want to put my problems into the public domain.

I would like to thank that there is a natural justice however, and certainly hope that this crooked person gets their come-uppance one day.

Why are we so reticent? Are we cowards? I do not have the answer but am reassured to find that there are lots of like-minded people out there.

The idea was more to warn off others who might fall into the same trap unless we warn them. Think of it more as a public service than private revenge. HildySmith on another thread alleges that developer Cafer Gurcafer entered into a contract without being authorised to sell the land. She also says he is still doing business. Who's going to tell future purchasers what he's done before? It would be good to be able to Google his name and come up with a mention of Hasan Sungur's Incesu site.

philbailey - natural justice by definition is: what goes around comes around. What else could you possibly think it meant?

suehowlittle, something like being punished by your sins rather than for your sins? Bit like a loose slate from a house they are building hitting a crappy builder on the head.
