They have none in Lemar, in Supreme, in Starling. Whats going on? Does it mean that all supermarkets import under one umbrella and the stock is distributed to each supermarket when it arrives on the ferry? If anyone sees peanut butter can you let me know. thanks.

It would appear so Furryfriends, when one runs out they all run out. A dearth of cheese at the moment also unless you like Bega. What's happened to Kerrygold etc. Also when one store has a special offer e.g. beans they all have.

Agree with message 6 - I have used peanut butter as a substitute for tahini paste when making humus - worked very well.

I googled "how to make peanut butter" because I couldn't find it anywhere either. I haven't tried it yet but it does sound very easy to make. Just roasted peanuts, oil and salt!

| What has happened to Ryvita, can't get it anywhere. You right though, virtually everything is shipped in by one or two shippers and if there is something they can't get then no shops are supplied. I can remember when we first got here, there was a shop round the corner where HSBC is and the word would go round "they've got HP brown sauce or they've got Heinz beans" and people flocked to buy!! | It seems Lemar are reducing their stock, no Wholemeal and Rye flour(turkish), no fresh yeast, no German Filter coffee, just 5 packet of Turkish Filter coffe and I bought them all. No promise of more!! |

Bought peanut butter in Lemar, catalkoy this afternoon so didn't make it in the end. Also commented on seeing Ryvita in Supreme because I have never noticed it here before!

I reckon the East end has pinched all the West end supply of Ryvita then. Trouble with Ryvita, different shops stick it in different places. Sometimes it's with the bread, sometimes with Slimming stuff, sometimes with Health food, sometimes with ordinary biscuits and in one shop I've been to, they put it with the cereals. Tango1
