We are due to visit NC in June and looking for an airport transfer for 7 from Larnaca and a 7 seater vehicle for 7 days. Any recommendations apart from Pacific as I think they were charging me for buying the vehicle!

Hi We always use Sevener - based in Alsancak- and have always found them to be reasonable and have a 7 seater too.

Surprised by your comment on Pacific, I have found their transfer charges to be better than most other car hire companies.

It appears that visiting North Cyprus is mainly done via Larnaca these days rather than Ercan.

Hi Mollydolly Try http://www.birdrentacar.com I highly recommend them, everything they do for you is a pleasure not a chore, We were out in March they gave us an eight seater which was also very good on fuel. stevie-d

Molly Dolly We have tried them all from larnaca, Sun, Pacific, Bird, Eva etc, but have just booked with Aone who come well recommended by 44 forum readers. So far very encouraged and only £25 each way transfer Larnaca to Kyrenia. Try their web site keith

Try http://www.arguscarhire.com - a Dublin-based broker, who will offer a car from one of the major international companies. Ask them to confirm by email that their supplier does not prohibit travel to the TRNC before making the booking and allow for the extra cost of third party and own damage insurance at the crossing point. Alternatively, look at http://www.petsas.com.cy, who do allow travel to the TRNC, but will probably be more expensive than Argus. Also look at http://www.icarhireinsurance.com for excess insurance. Either will almost certainly be cheaper than any of the alternatives - and it's a lot more convenient to drive yourself from and to Larnaca than to have a taxi transfer both ways.
