I am travelling via Larnaca to the North. Could I buy tobacco at Larnaca and then packed it in my case to bring back to the UK via Larnaca. If I kept the receipt to prove I had bought it on the South and paid the duty - could this still be confiscated. Also woud there be a limit on the amount I could buy at Larnaca to bring across to the North, then back to UK

Vic just buy what you require in the north for your stay, then buy at laranca for your return. Its more expensive than the north but less than UK. You can take 3200 ciggies not sure the amount of tobacco. As its the EU it will be quite a lot.
