Do anyone know if there are any public tennis courts to rent in or around Lapta / Kyrenia area. If not which hotels have tennis facilities in the same areas.

Thanks in advance

There are some Girne Belediyesi Tennis Courts next to the new big roundabout with the waterfall on it. I don't know what the charges are but if you ring Hilmi on 0533 849 8336 he will be able to fill you in on charges and opening times.

Doesn't the Riverside have courts - though I have never seen them!

The Riverside has a court, Mare Monte also has one, although I haven't been down there for a while so I dont know what that's like now. Last year the Belediye courts wanted 250TL for ex-pats annual membership and 100TL for Cypriots, don't know if that has changed now, as I now run the Midsummer House Tennis club in Catalkoy. Membership is 100TL a year whatever nationality you are or 10TL to rent the court for an hour. It's a good court and lovely surroundings, but Catalkoy may be a bit far for you. If you want more information check out hte Facebook page Midsummer House Tennis Club

Hi we have a Tennis Court here at the LA Hotel, might not be quite up to Wimbledon standard but its only 10TL for an hour.
