Hi all. It is good to read something positive once in a while. Stayed with Dopi through all their problems and we are delighted to say we can now watch BFBS. Yes there is freezing - but no more than there was before on the other programmes. Still in trial period but looking good.

BFBS is british forces broadcasting service.

They have a series of TV channels that combine some of the best UK TV content from all channels. However it is a scrambled service that is notionaly only available to British Forces personel , in Cyprus and elsewhere in the world.

It cannot be received via either Hotbird or Nilesat. It is via Eutelsat W10 and you must contact Namek for upgrade to equipment to enable you to receive it.

If it is BFBS it is more pirating, the forces are pretty hot on updating cards so I would be sceptical of it lasting.

Let me introduce myself.

I am responsible for finding , locating and prosecuting the misuse of the BFBS Television service.

It has come to our attention that DOPI TV are now offering access to BFBS Television via a card sharing network.

Please do not waste you money on obtaining this service as it will be very short lived, as the BFBS signal is being changed in the coming months.

We are constantly watching, and have the ability to locate the viewing card(s) being used.

If anyone would like any further information, that can contact me directly at piracy@bfbs.com all emails answered and any information about dopi tv or other card sharing groups will be gratefully accepted.

Access to any pay tv provider (SKY / NOVA / OSN / DIGITURK ) via a card share is illegal, and can be prosecuted under various international and local laws.

Message 15 has so much hisinformation it must be a wind-up - other than to persuade people to "bubble" DOPI.

It's not a wind up.

Please feel free to email me at piracy@bfbs.com , I will reply and it will contain all of my office contact details.

I am answering all of the emails, that arrive.

Re message 15. Who do you work for to be given the responsibility of " finding, locating and prosecuting the misuse of BFPS". Why ask for any info from customers about Dopi. If you are in a position you claim, you should be able to aquire all the info you need. I suggest that you get a life and find something else to do with your time rather than spread misinformation like this. Come on be honest.

@fruitbat.

Its only polite to ask, a simple thing said on a forum can lead to other things and normally does.

Check out past bfbs comments in eurocardsharing.com , you will see that we are very active in the south.

I hope you find the post for late last year where all access to BFBS 5 & 6 was removed from every viewing card in the ESBA due to a card share.

As I have published on here in my profile, and in the notices you can drop me an email at piracy@bfbs.com . You will be able to check the emails route back to the SSVC mail server.

If you and others want to spend money on buying another dish or having your system modified that's down to you. But you are throwing your money away.

BFBS TV

Good luck with your investigations, but do be warned about this forum, there are many daubters and fruitcakes who will give you lots of abuse for doing your job.

It does make me wonder how a person can tell you. ( I suggest that you get a life and find something else to do with your time rather than spread misinformation like this) COME ON BE HONEST.

Either to much sun or to much cheap booze.

Good luck in stamping out the pirates.

email received today from dopey tv.............

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF DOPI TV SERVICE

Dear Customer 20/05/11

Firstly we would like to sincerely apologise that, as a direct result of circumstances outside of our control, we have had to suspend our services with immediate effect.

The satellite company providing our main service has been increasingly getting technical performance problems. As a result they have made a decision to relocate their satellite to resolve the issues.

They advised DOPI of their plans last week to the effect that the work would be carried out at the end of this month. This would have allowed DOPI to plan for the necessary receiver dish realignment to take place at each of our Customer’s premises, including the software upgrades to each of the

boxes installed with all our customers.

At lunchtime today, we received an Email from our service provider to say that they have had to terminate their service immediately as a direct result of further significant problems they have encountered.

We are extremely sorry for causing you the viewing problems as a result of the changes being made. DOPI TV will be putting in a program to visit each of our Customers to carry out the necessary work which will be “FREE OF CHARGE”

The work will commence on Monday the 23rd May. In order to try and minimise the impact of this necessary work, our engineering team will be working from 8 AM through to 12 midnight to do the work required. We will be finalising the schedule this weekend and We will email it to you.

We are very sorry once again for the problems we have caused you. We respectfully ask for your patience and forbearance whilst we do our utmost to bring the system back to full operation again in as short a time as possib

I am totally in agreement with you Mr MMMMs, my neighbour had the same e-mail. She is still waiting for the promised re-commencement of the Showtime or OSN package which she was supposed to have had March after paying for an upgrade. Thanks to your advice we stayed clear of it and the Supreme one which I am also told has gone to pot and stuck with the free to air channels though we are thinking of going the sky route with the extra room system from our son's house.

Your advice seems to be spot on thankyou.

The most important thing is to find a reliable supplier with an excellent track record of supplying high quality customer service and then, to trust their professionalism and integrity.

A company who has built up their reputation over 7 years trading in the TRNC wouldn't just risk their reputation for a quick buck !

One customer recommendation is good, two is better, three is a sound bet, four is very good, 60-70+ customer recommendations shouldn't be ignored.

I agree-Paul installed our package a few monthe ago-its just fabulous and in the long run is more cost effective than dealing with the likes of Dopi and the other bandits over here.

So get switched on and go with Paul and his established buisness.

He won't let you down.

Islandgirl, with respect, read some of the customer comments in the thread and work it out for yourself, don't 'blindly' accept one person's opinion and repeat it as 'fact'

Sorry, but I can't carry this on today. I'm off out - http://www.liverockclassics.com

I do not blindly accept one persons opinion I do my own research. Yes you have been trading for 7 years but not selling this package. The internet club was an expensive disaster for some but lets put that behind us.

Do you have support of OSN? You answer that question.

Would they like to shut you down? Will they if they get the chance?

There were a lot of people raving about DOPI at one point lots of recommendations there and look what happened and continues to happen. Yes yours is splendid at the moment, I have seen it but you have no support from OSN and if they work out how to close this smaller loophole they will and when that happens there are going to be an awful lot of terribly miffed people. I certainly would not want to be on the receiving end of that one!

Unfortunately, Paul's not here but I have rang him. He is busy getting everything ready for the gig tonight supporting Tulips Cancer Charity Trust.

If you look at the comments in the thread, you will see that many customers have dealt with us from day one and still do deal with us.

You are generalising again. You are entitled to your own opinion but don't force it down other people's throats.

Paul, says if you want to discuss this or anything else with him he is more than happy to discuss it with you by email.

Just one point though. We have customers who have renewed and in their second year with their OSN packages. All our customers with the systems know that they have 24/7 customer support off us.

Hi islandgirl

re 29

Be VERY careful about using your multiroom box away from home ( permanently) and the phone line - and do not 'advertise' you intend do it !!!!!

I have seen two people this year receive the dreaded "your multiroom boxes aren't connected to the tel line" letter ( you get three warnings) and then you pay full price for both.

The latest white SKY cards - go to sleep - if not used / away from power for a prolonged time- and this often needs a call to wake 'em up... SKY can work out who has 'problems' and they normally get the letters..

You asked the right question re 'support' of OSN / Abu Dhabi TV... I've never had an answer about how a company that isn't an official dealer ( and has claimed to BE one!) selling outside the licensed region can offer any 'guarantees'...

How am I generalising? "AGAIN" I asked a very specific question which remains unanswered.

I cannot see how I am trying to force an opinion down anyone's throats though I do understand it may be difficult for you to swallow.

E-mail? Why not keep it in the public eye?

DOPI also had people subscribing for a second possibly 3rd year and look what happened there
