Just had a look round the new supermarket situated on the Esentepe road just 10 minutes from Tatllsu quite big very good choice and there is going to be a fresh food counter.

Lovely staff offered to show me around, staff said it should be open within a week, all the shelves are stacked !!

It's just opened.

I was in there today & it has a good selection.

Prices on par with the big supermarkets.

It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside.

Fresh food counter not stocked yet though.

It is called "Blue Dream Supermarket" & is just past the Poppin restaurent.

It opened on Tuesday past as reported elsewhere and it depends where you are travelling from whether it is past the Poppin or not, travelling from Esentepe (note spelling) it is after Antique but before Poppin

It's still not fully operational, but well stocked. There's going to be a hot and cold meat/salad bar soon, similar to Supreme. It is a Godsend for all of us this side of Girne.

It's more expensive hope he drops his prices and does special offers like tempo and supreme. Not a good selection of wines and effes way over top on price - I buy effes for 2ytl a bottle and they charging 2.34 ytl

Agree looks a little pricey, called in Saturday for a look around, tomatoes 2.70tl/kg cherry tomatoes 4.65tl/kg.

HOpefully will settle down to be something like Supreme and that prices will become like other supermarkets.

Most people who have lived in TRNC for some time can get Efes at 2tl a bottle, shel56 ;) but usually not buying a bottle at a time or sitting in a bar although there is a little market at Beyermudu with a couple of tables outside where he still charges only 2tl lol

Prices seem ok to me at Blue dream supermarket, considering that it would take me well over an hour to drive to and fro tempo !! less than 20 mins all round trip to and fro Tatlisu !! just the job.

Who's bothered whether Efes is a few pence cheaper in town!

It now takes me seconds to drive to a LOCAL supermarket. Soooo convenient, and will save on the petrol bills not having to drive all the way in to Girne.

Popped in today and it is well stocked and the owner said the fresh food counters will be in operation by next week along with hot chickens and deserts and cakes etc. He also said that on the end will be a coffee shop soon.



Just to save the drive is well worth a few extra TL on a shop and and its so convienient for us at Tatlisu.

its a god send for anyone past esentepe . we was travelling miles to supreme from sweetwaterbay now its ten mins . does anyone know if they will be selling english newspapers ? supreme and lamar sell them .

Open every day 0800-2200 too. Butcher counter and delicatessen by end of next week hopefully. Prices might be a little higher but he has invested a lot for the good of us all so let's try and support him and I am sure he will bring prices down...in the long term. Fresh bread daily and also village eggs!

They currently have frozen bacon, and have been told by the owner they will have fresh bacon once the meat counter is opened. Not sure about english bread, but they have fresh local bread delivered daily.

Fresh meat counter was being stocked this afternoon. The cakes/desserts counter is already up and running.
