Having had made a plate which had the letters undersized, followed by one with the screw holes made through the letters, I have now discovered that the third attempt had two letters transposed ! I would be grateful if anyone can advise me where I can get a serviceable plate made, preferably in or near Alsancak. The business opposite the larger Starlings in Alsancak cannot/will not help and the shop which has had three attempts seems to have closed or is seldom open. Until I resolve this it is "shanks pony" (2 days after a visit to a chiropodist) or I must drive in a permanent sideways skid so that both plates cannot be seen !

Heading towards Kyrenia from Alsancak, past Astral supermarket, petrol station on your left hand side up ahead, a small shopping precinct on right hand side opposite the petrol station, shop you need is on right hand side in the precinct....very efficient and hopefully you can get transport as it's a long way for Shank's pony from where you are, but only a short drive

Charlieb. Thanks for the steer which, combined with the advice from Kibris, has enabled me to be street legal again very quickly. Negativenick. I have had a large pogo stick for years. It is OK for pole vaulting but inhibits swimming in the sea as I drag seaweed. The Wildebeest (bless her) never apologises when she bumps into it ! You are not all negative, are you Nick. I believe that your endless, keen sense of humour transcends any reservations I may have had with regard to you becoming a moderator !!!
