Does anyone have a link to driving directions from Ercan Airport to Karsiyaka please.

Look on google earth and the main roads are plain to see.It is main road all of the way.It would be very difficult to lose your way.

1.Drive out of the airport, pass the first little round about.

2.After 5 minutes you will reach Nicosia/Famagusta junction, take the turn to left towards Nicosia.

3.Shortly, you will arrive at the first large round about with a sign, pointing towards right to Kyrenia (Girne in Turkish). DON’T take that turn to right. Go staright towards Nicosia (Lefkosa in Turkish).

4.Drive for approximately 15 minutes, passing through several round abouts and traffic lights, until you reach a very very large round about. Just before this round about, you will see a football stadium to your right and an Opel showroom to your left shortly after the stadium.

5.On this large round about with the bronze statue of people, turn right towards the mountains and follow that road for about 10-15 minutes until you reach Kyrenia.

6. On the approach road coming down into Kyrenia, if the bypass is open, take that road to the left and follow it as far as you can bearing left at the end of it and keep going through Lapta and the next place is Karsiyaka.

7. If the by pass isn't open, keep going down pass the mosque to the first roundabout and turn left and after that keep going straight. Depending on time of day and traffic it'll take about 20-25 mins to get to Karsiyaka.



We got to Lapta on our first visit with no directions and it is actually quite easy, good luck.

By the way, when I say 20-25 mins to get to Karsiyaka I meant from Kyrenia not Ercan, it'll probably take anything between 45-60 mins from Ercan

mozgor - these are excellent directions. If I didn't already know the way from Ercan to Alsancak (and hence to Karsiyaka) I couldn't go wrong with these.



If I'd had given the instructions, the poor bugger would still be trying to find his way about three weeks down the line
