We used the Ship Inn once, it was fine, very cheap and lots of people give it the thumbs up... and it has a handy location.

Malpas is very much East Girne though... poster wants West... if he was prepared to go East we'd recommend the Courtyard or The Fez simply on the basis of cost and lots of recommendations even though we've never used them.

I always stay at the Pia Bella 10 Minutes from the Harbour. its my 5 time so it speaks for itself take a look at their website. I took a look in the ship inn this afternoon and had a drink at the pool bar. I asked to look in one of the rooms which they did. Overall I was very impressed!!!! I would recommend it and I think they said it was 25 pounds a night B n B but I think He said they can negotiate on the price! The Gardens were fully stocked and very pretty, I have been fortunate enough to have travelled to many Caribbean islands and the Ship in and grounds very much reminded me of the Caribbean. Every body knows WYN there! nunu

An excellent hotel with friendly staff in exactly the right location for you, they also do their own car hire, I stayed there myself some weeks ago when I was over that area playing golf and having a reunion in Girne with some fellow ex-pats, I can thoroughly reccommend the SHIP INN HOTEL, http://www.theshipinn.com 009 0392 815 6701

you may be better looking for a cheep package. i think some companies do shorter durations. by the time you pay for flights plus accomodation it all adds up. there should be some bargins at that time of year. check out car hire companies online as they sometimes give discounts for online booking. we have used sun carhire in the past. no problems and a good price.

How far west do you want to go. We have stayed at the Sempati in Lapta twice now and it's great for us. It also has a dive centre, who dive all year rounf if your into that. Erkan at the hotel often does special deals incluing flights and Car hire. MC

Love the Ada but not cheap. Fantastic beach, harbour jetty etc for swimming. Views terrific, coffee excellent, menu not very imaginative. It is next door to museum Alsancak/Karolanolou.
