Tv satellite question

Two years ago I paid a fixed price for 3 satellite dishes and a receiver, giving approx 1300 tv chanels, with the promise it was a 'one off payment'. I have returned to N Cyprus after a 6 month break in the UK to find almost all the chanels are scrambled. Now i've been told it is 200 dollars a year extra to unscramble the programmes. Has anyone had the same problem, or am I being ripped off?

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Oh dear. I suspect you have been well and truly ripped off. Who did you originally sign up with? People have lost quite a number of channels over the last few months but 200 Euro to "unscramble" is a bit of a No, No I feel.

Unfortunately I didn't sign up to any agreement, but purchased the package from a 'reputable' local business guy in the Esentepe area, who was is highly recommended for being able to do/get/organise anything.

He also offered cheap taxi transfers to Larnaca, but on arrival at the airport the driver wanted more than the agreed price.

It isn't 200 TL they want. It's 200 Dolars............work that one out.... I can't
