Hi

We have bought a property in Catalkoy and my partner is going across to stay next month. I will have to stay in the UK for a while. Communicating by mobile is really expensive. How easy is it to get a phone line and broadband.

Getting a landline is virtually impossible nowadays.

We managed to get ours installed 5 years ago after waiting over a year and constantly visiting the phone office in Girne.

My advise is do not even try as it will cause you acute anxiety.

RedBoxer

Why not if you or your girlfriend has a laptop, why not get SKYPE its free to every other skype user, you can get a monthly hot spot from Extend Broadband for less than 30ytl a month, worth a try

if the house had a phone line, and there still is space on the pole so to speak then you may be able to get a phone line.

we had our phone connected within 2 weeks of moving in.
