After what could easily have been a career threatening reckless challenge on Gareth Bale, Charlie Adam ought to have faced instant red card.... Instead Tottenham struggled to a draw. That challenge totally changed the balance of the game and could have dealt the final blow to Spurs' hope of European football. Without Bale, Spurs looked punctured and nervy. The referee had a good game overall but that howler seemed ominous. It was right in the thick of play (where the refs attention should be) and looked nasty right from the first so why did the ref not see the lateness of the tackle and Charlie Adam remain in play?

Spot on... he should have had a straight red card. Spurs have faltered at the last, especially with Man Shitty losing yesterday. Still, it has been a great season and as long as we can keep hold of our players then we will be back in the hunt again come August. We need to fight to keep 5th place now, to lost that would be a travesty!!

If Wayne Rooney had made that tackle he'd be all over the press by now and the FA would be on the case. (Quite rightly)
