Try this lovely sticky syrup spnoge pudding recipe that cooks in 5 minutes... Yes you need a microwave....

100g soft marg

100g caster sugar

2 eggs beaten

2.5mls baking powder

100g self raising flour

30mls milk

45 mls golden syrup or jam if you prefer

5ml vanilla essence



Cookware 1200mls (2 pint) microwaveproof pudding bowl, plate to cover.





Cream the marg and sugar. Gardually add egg and vanilla

Stir in flour and baking powder, mix in enough milk to make a soft dropping consistency.



Place syrup in bottom of bowl. place spongemix on top and level.



Cover with plate



Cook in Microwave at 900w for 4-5 minutes. 5-6 for 750w microwaves.



Leave to stand for 5 minutes.... why not make some custard or whip some cream while you wait....



Turn out onto a warm serving dish...



Eat, eat, eat.....

Groucho.. MY favourite when I get the chance to have it if Her indoors would do it for me,but all I get is "you have to be careful what you eat in your condition" Might make one tomorrow when she is at work and hide it ....

That is a similar recipe I have taken from a microwave cook book many years ago. No words describe it.



How about when you are back on stall duty you let us know and serve some of yours up for a small fee for SPOT

Sorry but we are strictly forbidden to sell food that might compete with the restaurant from the Turtle stall for obvious reasons.... they are trying to run a business afer all.



By all accounts their new Pizza restaurant (called Pomadoro) is excellent... it's at the top of the Colony road near the Lefkosa roundabout in case anyone wants to know.

Groucho.. think you are right will have to consume with great enjoyment cos if I dont old bloodhound nose will find it and I will get it right in the neck.In future would keep this beautiful recipes off the forum PLEASE!!!
