anybody had a problem topping up their phone. while at LEMAR we already had 390 units left and added another 400 units, or so we thought. BUT on coming to use it later we only had a total of 433, can anyone explain where the rest went??

I topped up with 200 credit on Telsim made one call locally and maybe 4 texts and the credit was finished. Surely not an accident? I have noticed that credits don't last like they used to.

have now found out what went wrong, I t appears that we paid for 400 units(20ytls) but only 100 unts (5ytls) was added to the phone. They can actually tell the amount that was added, by checking with Turkcell, genuine mistake or whatever!!!! finally restored our missing units it pays to be on the ball,

Mobiles, the biggest rip-off in history. The only product i can think of that DID'NT get cheaper as sales of same expanded. PC'S so cheap nowadays, landline deals in Uk cheap as chips yet the Mobile industry continue to make billions from us all. Don't use the damn thing unless emergency. Use Skype.

When I bought my turkcell sim card ( for 20ytl) it said it came with 100 units. These lasted for 5 short calls. Now topped up at a little supermarket and will be interested to see what we get.

mitsi You obviously don't remember the lovely motorolla "brick" as it was affectionately known and the relative costs of making calls in the early days... 1985 onwards The phone would now cost about £1,200 to buy and the rate perminute would be well over a pound per minute or part thereof (no per-second billing in those days) for a mobile to mobile call on the same network..... If may not be as cheap as you want but it has gone down....
