Now back online after our journey here. Arrived as planned on 5th and must say trip was largely uneventful except for a couple of unplanned detours courtesy of Penelope (our TomTom SatNav). Stayed in some lovely places and passed through much spectacular scenery. Animals were no problem apart from the 2 ferries at the start and end of trip when they were separated from us but all the places we stayed at welcomed them warmly. The dreaded ferry crossing to Girne turned out to be a pleasure - we ended up on the Filo ferry carrying mainly large artics and when we got to the lounge there were only a few folk trying to get some shut-eye and we had plenty of room to spread out and get our heads down - they even turned lights down and it was quiet and peaceful - even the toilets were modern and clean and much better than many of the service areas on the roads. Would certainly not put anyone off undertaking the trip and we are all fit and well. Will email those that wanted when I can.

My brother drove from the UK to North Cyprus in 1984, in a 1984 first generation Toyota MR2, spent two weeks holidaying in the north then drove back again. No animlas though just a girlfriend with him. An extremely ridiculous thing to do in such a car but thats my brother.
