| Can anyone tell me about the festival they had in May of this year.I was told that it was very good and they had lots going on including a small carnival (the kids would like that!). It was I believe the first ever festival ever and the guy who organised it was from Scotland. Is it happening again next year as think it would tie in with us coming out to our place at Palmbay. Would love to hear comments.

| They held an apricot festival over 2 weeks at the end of May/beginning of June. There were events on every evening as well as some daytime events. There were lots of craft and food stalls at the wedding park and it was very busy every night, my son loved the dodgems. It was a very ambitious endeavour and in the main, worked well though most events were late in starting but that's the norm here. I asked the Belediye last week if there would be another event next year and they confirmed there would be but it is likely to be only for 1 week. |

I can confirm as well that the festival is going ahead and it is intended to be an annual event, the committee are beavering away behind the scenes at present and yes the first one had some teething problems but hey it was a great success and I am sure it will be even better this time round |

| I really hope they do keep it going... what was the best thing about the last festival? I'll tell you....
The atmosphere... it was great just wandering around seeing people from all sections of the community having fun together...
As one would expect, they learned a lot from the first one and I'm sure the second will be even better.... can't wait

Details of the festival may be quite easy to obtain....... Carol Anne's (PBV) husband was heavily involved in arranging the 2008 festival.
