In order to overcome the international isolation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the economy in the country must develop, that’s the message given by the Minister of Economy and Energy Sunat Atun. The Minister who is in the Turkish City of Mersin attended the inauguration ceremony of a store that was established after the efforts of 6 Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneurs.

Speaking during his meetings, Mr. Atun said it is necessary to make every kind of efforts towards the lifting of the unjust isolations on the TRNC.



Noting that his Ministry is working on to improve exporting opportunities via Mersin by exposing the existing potential, Atun said they are determined to remove the international isolations imposed against the TRNC.

He praised the Cyprus Turkish businessmen who were not afraid to take steps in order to develop the economy of the TRNC.



Mr. Atun also held a series of contacts while in Mersin.

So, all it needs now then is someone capable of developing an economy.

"I am the oldest and therefore the wisest in the family" was the reply "So I will be Minister of 'developing the economy', put the goats away son, we are off to the big city, and we must encourage all ex-pats to take out their money, pensions etc, that will make a good start".
