When we went last summer the safari took us up to the top of ridge that runs from Dipkarpaz towards Apostolis Andreas so we could see both coastlines from the top. Very difficult to access unless you are a dedicated hiker. We particularly liked the views from the great yellow rock formation where we had coffee. The remote beach was stupendous - difficult to access and three beautiful bays with clear water. That is where we had our picnic and Pakize's catering was brilliant. She makes traditional Turkish koftes which we thought fabulous. It was a lovely half day out. Wireless... What three kids would make of it? They would love the donkeys (seen at a distance) and the tractor ride through the fields and up to the crest of the hill is pretty exciting. The swimming where we had our picnic is brilliant, very safe for toddlers. They might be interested to know that Bulent and Pakize's family came up to the high pastures and Pakize took food up once a week. How other people live..

These trips are taylor made to each customer and can be as long as you like, but could not be less than 4 hours. You start at the Damla Restaurant in Dipkarpaz usually about 10am. Price of £30pp includes lunch and soft drinks. Here are some of our photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/karpazsafari/sets/

Pakize is being even more adventurous with her cooking. She wants to offer more Turkish and Cypriot dishes, than before. She also makes Adana Kebabs now with a most delicious onion salad. She comes from that region. And there is always a home made desert now. i have not had better Baklava and sweet börek!!

If it is donkey's you wish to see, there is plenty south of the border. They roam freely in South Nicosia where the grass is greener and all that and grows to the EU standards.

mess 24 August is not so very busy. I'm sure we can accomodate you! The trailer has a sun roof and there is always a lovely little breeze in the mountains. The lovely little beach is perfect I'm told as it has been cleaned by the Belediye recently. Lovely for swimming and snorkeling with the lunch table near by for a lovely 3 course picnic lunch. Here are the pictures again: http://www.flickr.com/photos/karpazsafari/sets/ Tel Eva 05338206798 for booking or more info
