Reservoir fishing in North Cyprus

Hi.



Does anyone know of any decent places to fish. Gecitkale reservoir has six inches of water and no fish. Opposite Valley View Restaurant a new wall has been constructed so not able to get to reservoir. The reservoir opposite Lara Beach is still ok to fish,but does anybody know of any more places.

mersinlik is the best and deepest lake in turkish cyprus . the carp in here grow to over twenty pounds . i fish it all the time being only ten mins from our place at sweetwaterbay but you have to know how to get to the pegs on the bolders . me and my brother made five pegs by cutting the dead trees down that are present all along the bolders length.



in april i had over fifty carp on corn and pellet .



dont fish the feeder here you will get snagged up every cast , fish the pole or waggler close in . its ten feet deep at nine meters out.

when are you back over in cyprus as i will be over i in aug / sept this year.



what was the name of the lake we looked at which was a bugger to get round, did you catch any decent ones on your last trip.



off to spain again in june after some monster carp , cats.

Why not try Esentepe sea, my hubby goes every week he starts from Esentepe and works his way along to the harbour! As they say plenty of fish in the sea! Good Luck!
