I hope that was not a Freudian slip.

I am sure you meant to have included 'in touch' to that sentence.

Msg 5

Well spotted! It seems to me that this bank keeps changing its rules to suit their profits, lining their pockets to the detriment of their customers/clients. After at least 8 years of banking with them I've yet to receive a statement from them, postal or otherwise. How much does an envelope, stamp or an occasional phone call cost?!

Don't know what you are all expect but Nesrin at their Catalkoy branch replies to my e-mails within 1 hour during normal working hours, parking is no problem, online banking & transfers work.

Compare that to my UK bank where my Company puts £1-2M per month through the current account and I cannot get hold of my business manager until they deem it worthwhile.

When I banked in Spain the standing charges were ridiculous, so all in all I am very happy with Creditwest and if you are not happy stop moaning and try elsewhere as the grass is not always greener.

fosterscan I think you are referring to proof of address, this can also be a bill with your name and address on it, this to confirm you live where you claim you do...I think they also have something similar in the UK.

Last Friday I went into K/loo branch to enquire about having a bankers draft/cheque made out on my account to pay a large hospital bill. I was assured that it would take 5 or 10 minutes at the most once I told them the amount required. Good I thought---no problem there.

Yesterday (Wednesday) I went back with the amount I would require and was told by the same staff member that they now require one days notice for the cheque to be issued. I said well why was I told on Friday 5 or 10 minutes. Rules changed last week I was told. It wasn't a week ago since I was in!

What a wunch of bankers! I walked out with a bag of cash an open invitation to any mugger who may have been around. Totally changed my views on Credit West.

I suppose their are good and bad days with every business, I do think it is nice to see that their are positives as well as negatives on this post.

I moved to Creditwest from another north cyprus bank (Turkish actually) and they have been 200% better since day one.

Admittedly I am at the Catalkoy branch and have Nesrin as the Supervisor but I would also point out that Deniz and the other staff there are fantastic, maybe I am just lucky but there does seem to be a pattern here in regards to branches.

To agree with other comments I have yet to find a more efficent bank employee than Nesrin at Credit West Catalkoy, I would think their biggest asset, like as previously mentioned an email reply within an hour.

If you are worried how many millions are in your account, why not go online banking then you can check your account anytime you want, and if you want statements then print them off.

investor 60% return is very questional I wouldnt advise you give up your money to some chap, the return is far to high therefore very very risky.

We offer 8% on Turkish Lira for the month and 3.5% on monthly Sterling deposits bit more on longer terms, you can find all the details on our web site http://www.creditwestbank.com

Hello everyone can people tell me first hand what they are getting for their sterling deposits in the UK? on the larger sums eg GBP 100.000 and above.

We know we can obtain information from financial institutions web sites but I prefer to ask real people about what they experience and get a guage for whats really being paid to savers in the UK.
