Sounds all a bit complicated and what constitutes " very special investors" I wonder??

"According to the new “law”, from now on “work permits” will be issued for a maximum period of four years and therefore foreigners who obtain this “permit” will not have the right of obtaining the “citizenship” of the regime. After this “law”, the “citizenship’ will be given to no one except for cases of marriage and “very special investors”.

Well according to cyprus today to obtain citzenship you will need 500,000 pounds in the bank. Or be married to a citzen for more than 3 years. Then an application to the council of ministers for consideration.

You have to laugh. Unfortunately the "TRNC government" has left a a little late to try and seize back control of their own affairs from Turkey. The genie is out of the bottle and the TCs are well outnumbered. Turkey rules here. As was stated elsewhere, if you can't f*** a friend, who can you f***?

I like the line about holders of white cards not being able to vote, be elected or work as a civil servant. So what is the point of becoming a 'citizen' ??? It's lost on me
