had a couple of emails saying that people are having problems accessing http://www.northcyprusfreepress.com and this seems to be limited to only a few local providers as far as I can see. Is anyone having problems? You can also access NCFP temporarily using http://www.3cyprus.com

Mal I have had some problems but I do not think it is the result of any attempt to 'block' your site specificaly. Certainly for a few days my ISP was unable to resolve the NCFP domain into an IP address, but it is doing so fine now. Currently I can not resolve 3cyprus.com domain but can the NCFP. For those having problems the use of a VPN or proxy server will solve them. Also do feel free to offer the use of the URL to the 'backup' site on my server space if it wil help others in the mean time. There is also a solution that could be used involving the creation of a local 'hosts' file but I dont have time right now to explain how to do that. Ill try and do it later.

Well if anyone is having problems and are in the general Girne area I would be more than happy to pop round and help them sort out a solution to getting to the site. However I suspect that the problems will disapear without any intervention in due course anyway.

I think it's now down to just two people, one of whom now realises that it is a problem with Extend Broadband. Thanks for the offer erolz, I'll find out if the remaining user needs help
