two ton depot cold water tank

just been informed by my tenants that the depot 2 ton cold water tank has sprung a leak at the bottom. obviously needs either welding or replacing. It is a 7 years old oblong metal type.

anyone know the cost of replacing inc labour/fitting or repairing . Most important who can do this.

My apt is in Patara city . girne.

Not sure you can repair it as a leakage may take place again.

Ersem Trading have just replaced mine - around 500 TL but depends on the amount of labour involved. Excellent service, job done same day. If they are leaking, forget any kind of repair - especially at 7 years old.

Hi Paul, could you tell me whether your 8 tonne tank is plastic or metal and approximately how much it would cost me to install one as an extra to my existing tanks. It seems to be my only option as Lapta Belediyesi told me that I would have to pay £500 to get municipality water despite the builder doing the pipework to the meter point at our gate. It seems excessive just for a connection and a meter so I refused. Thankyou.

We supply and fit hygienic plastic tanks made from recycled plastics that are fit for storage of clean domestic water, there is also a campaign trying to get under way at the moment to promote the replacement of all metal tanks as they are not fit for domestic clean water installations.

Think it would be sensible to get a plastic one installed . Not surw where ersem trading is. Do you have their tel number.

For your information our approximate cost for supply and installation of your new water tank would be as follows:



Including:

2000lt Double insulated hygienic plastic tank

Basic adaptation of pipework

Installation labour



Approx 550tl



Please bear in mind that we would need to see where the tank needs to go and check what is required for the change in pipework before we order the tank.

When I have an idea of the costs I will decide whether to do the job or not.
