Well thats it for another year then, all over bar the shouting,as my old man used to say (bless him)

If someone would have said to me that United would reach the F.A.cup semi-final,win the league, and reach the final of the European cup.I would have thought that they had,had one too many Efes.

As united teams go,this season has to be the poorest for a few years, but still the conveyor belt came around with a major trophy on it."Fergie must go" Fergie is finished",what absolute Tosh.Reading some of the tripe that has been posted on here since the defeat last night ,to arguably one of the best club sides of all time, really made me get my mad up,lol.

Last night Barcelona made United look like a second rate team,i can handle that, without a problem.United were way out of their depth last night, simply because they couldnt get the ball enough. And when they did get it,they gave it away to cheaply. The game went exactly the way i thought it would.

Sorry to say Paul - the midfield is too week. Fergie was clutching at straws when he bought Scholes on.

There shouldn't be a panic though once he gets the players he wants in the summer.

Paul. I didn't see Chelski in the CL Final! ) Oh and I notice they didn't win the Premiership either )

What's the odds on Chelski not winning anything next year?

What i do find hard to stomach though is when people forget that United won the title, and Alex Ferguson is the most successful manager of all time. Some people on here have even posted that he should walk away now.For gods sake his team has just won the league,in the end at a canter.

I suppose Liverpool fans had the same envy and hatred to put up with in the eighties, when their team were winning everything.I try to take my blinkers off when i post comments regarding football. And as i see it,if United can add a couple of ball playing midfielders to the squad for next season. Then i honestly think that they will be pushing for the Premiership title again.

So to summarise,on what i believe was a fantastic season for United. One cup won one cup final lost and one semi final lost. Not bad for then"worst United team for many years".Oh and i nearly forgot to mention.United also won the F.A.youth cup, perhaps two or three may come through from that line up.Hardly doom and gloom is it,Paul.

Paul, come down and see a proper team play, the mighty Gills

United have had a good season but were completely outclassed last night.

United are still an exceptional team

I was surprised that Giggs stayed on the pitch, he looked drained and contributed very little

Hi Paul

Totally agree with you mate, United were totally outclassed. I actually think United are a great team, just shows how good Barcelona are. Their short ball passing is magical (don't play many long balls) and their pressing of the ball is phenomenal.

I think it was one of the managers Bill Shankley who said 'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'

He has a point

I can't see united losing any games next season, including the Champions League Final.

we dont look at the reserves , or youth teams as much as we should , our real team always comes up trumps , must be sad to watch the next generation being beaten also , not much down for you then ? maybe you will win the championship with your real team ?

As a neutral I watched the game last night and I don't think anyone in the Premiership would have done any better. My son was in Barcelona recently on a school trip and went to see them play. He is not really a football fan but even he acknowledged that Messi was a genius.
