Well, my speeding trial was on today. I did not expect a trial before 11 am but I was there at 9 am. At 11.30 the judge called me and I said I am ready for the trial. The attorney was not ready and had a telling off. The police wittnesses were there in half an hour. The court was extremely busy and at 2 pm the judge gave a break of 15 minutes presumably to eat something. At 3 pm. she called me again and postponed the case to 18th July. I could see that she really wanted to have the trial but under such workload it was impossible. The other thing I noticed was that the judge was better informed about the contents of the files than most advocates. She must look at each file carefully the day before. I don't think she has any time to watch the telly in the evenings at all. I am most impressed. ismet

It's good to hear that you were impressed with the judge and the time she is putting in to her cases. It appears to me that adjournments are an all too often outcome for court cases. Should there not be more judges and courtrooms to help ease the case load?

Richard I fail to understand why you can never add any constructive contribution or valid debate to any of the threads on this board.
