DHL Service from Cafe Boss, Girne

I am an Archer, and I sent two Long-bows off to England so I can use them over there.



Within the space of 3 days, they were picked up from Cafe Boss, just round the corner from HSBC, taken to Istanbul, fowarded to Leipzig then to Heathrow, then on to the DHL depot in Hounslow where they are awiting my collection on saturday.



This is a great service.

Hi, I ordered a pool component about 1/2 m square from Australia, got a phone call a week later from DHL rep asking what the hell it was as the customs could not make head or tail of the thing, told him and the next day I got a call to meet him in Karakum Lemar car park as this was a dropoff point nearest my house, signed and got my parcel, no duty...great service

Or.. you could have it sent to the offices of DHL in Nicosia in the 'rump' RoC have have stuff from the UK in 2 days and Oz in 4...

I'm sure there are a number of alternative ways of transporting products to and from the North some, may even be more effective than your suggestion.



So why not applaud a successful initiative that just a few years ago would have been unthinkable.

We had disgracefull service from DHL here.

Back in March our bank send new cards. They didn't arrive so we had to cancal them.

They replaced them but guess what, they didn't arrive, so when i went back to the uk i called up the bank to get it sorted out.

They were send DHL. So hubby went of to DHL to see where they could be.

They were still in their office. So he asked why they haven't delivered them? 'we don't know all new build address's here' But our house is not a new build. 'so i know the village but we don't know where the house is.'

well couldn't you have asked someone? no reply.

Do not rely on these people, we were unable to use our bank account until june this year, due to them being to lazy to deliver our new cards. Our bank is least impressed and won't be using them again either.

That said, time wise your experience would have been before Steve at Cafe Boss had taken over the agency for DHL. In my experience Steve would have never let this sort of problem happen, why not make contact with him and run through your experience, who knows you might get a free cup of coffee!

Does DHL charge on volume of the parcel, the weight or on both? And does anyone know how much? Or has the phone number of Steve at café Boss?
