I recently bought tickets on-line to go to UK & took the opportunity to purchase the Travel Insurance. I put my departing country as 'Cyprus'. I received an e-mail confirming my purchase together with an Insurance Certificate.

The next day I received a further e-mail saying that they only cover departures from Turkey so I have phoned up the office in Turkey only to be told that their insurance only covers Turkish Nationals & therefore they had no option but to cancel my policy!!

Does anyone have any further knowledge on this?

No - I think you will find most travel insurance will not cover you either as an expat or as a traveller from North Cyprus.



We do have an insurer who might be able to help and is currently insuring clients who are EU nationals who have lived in TRNC for over 6 months.
