You can buy it from most Marshall and good Yapi markets. Just tell the assistant what you want it for. Best is probably from Akinlar's the wood burner suppliers on the inner ring road in Girne.

As we are talking wood burners does anyone know where you can buy the slow burning eco logs from. We tried the eco logs from Lemar last year but they are not the same as they burned really quickly.

In the UK we call it 'black lead' paint. But only put it on when you don't need to use the wood burner for a while. 'Cos if it hasn't gone really dry and hard - when you light the fire it stinks!

The Yapi market just past the Golden Lady in Alsancak (when travelling from Girne direction) sells, very cheaply, aerosol cans of black matt paint marked "stove", an enamel as suggested by Rowlo. I found that a rupture can be avoided by not carrying the stove outdoors to paint it. I sprayed small amounts into a dish and quickly used a small art brush for the intricate areas near glass etc and a larger brush for top and sides. It looks smart for the Summer months when not in use. If you use this method, only spray small amounts every few minutes into the dish as the paint dries very quickly. Unless you have a gigantic stove or stack there should be a lot of paint left in the can for use on other jobs as and when necessary.
