Please help we need telpehone number for police we have a turkish mobile and are trying 115 but are getting error message. Do not know how they have got in, we are sea side near Carnaro club, money valubles are all gone. We need number for police. Please help

Sorry to hear of this, it must be very distressing. I hope you get your property returned. Burglary does appear to be on the increase in the TRNC but from what I have read the police have a good arrest rate so I hope you are one of the lucky ones that manages to get your valuables returned. Let us know what happens.

it seems they have forced a set of sliding patio doors, broken the hinges and slid it back, we could not tell how they had got in, the police dicovered the forced entry

airbags,i am ss what has happened to you.My brother was burgled in girne,they did catch them,Much as we hate to point finger his culprits were mainland turks.Not as is that gives you any comfort,I hope the police reacte well.

There were three burgalries last night, Lapta, Catalkoy, Esentepe, the police think it was the same persons.



Whilst at the police station I asked about a crime ref number (as you would get in the UK) to claim on travel insurance. I was told I had to come back in person in a weeks time (we go home sunday) and pay with 37.50 lire stamps and they will give me a copy of the crime report. Bizzare! Any one have any experience of this?

Can you claim on travel insurance for items taken from the villa? thought that would have to be house insurance, I could be wrong.
