How many more so called pet lovers are going to try to get rid of their dogs on this forum. This is getting too much.

It is being absolutely cruel to the animal just to palm it off to someone else just because the owner has finished with it. Remember they do have feelings.

Dogs are for life not Christmas.

I am impressed, 2 complaints about the amount of dog threads and no PC brigade jumping in.

In that case, I agree, way to many .

Yes - I agree - maybe, as suggested before there should be a section just for doggie matters?

Blackbird, that would mean that people who lose their pets and are desperately trying to find them would have to be mixed in with owners who can't be bothered to look after their own, hardly seems fair, does it?

Can't understand how there's a ROYAL society for prevention of cruelty to animals but only a National society for prevention of cruelty to children!

Gonna be contentious again but not being a doggie person, why do so many doggies seem to "get away" here, are they not happy where they are ??, I know a place local to me (country restaurant) where a couple of stray hunting dogs wandered in over 2 years ago and the owner fed them and looked after them, they are still there and never wander off, makes me wonder is all ?

Thanks a lot for your empathy, obviously not an animal lover or a people person.

FYI, I am english, came out here to retire with my husband, early 2009, found a stray, June 2009, my husband passed away here July 2009. My mother died, in UK, 1 month later, and for that reason, I have just spent 3 months in UK, spending time with my dad, after he lost her after 70 years of being together.

During my time away I paid a considerable amount of money to put him in kennels, knowing that he would be safe and well looked after. He has been snatched and I am desperate to find him.

How dare you?

Disregarding any flippancy, from idiots, who make banal statements. I still have faith in human nature, and pray that my, Bob, will return in good health, god bless you, my beautiful baby, hope you are safe and being well looked after
