Children staying at the moment particularly liked Pizza King pizza's when they were over last year. This has now changed hands and is a bit of a way from Ozankoy in any case. Are there any places that do a similar pizza in the Girne area? Thank you

I am not sure what pizza kings pizzas were like, I never tried them. I do like Mamma Mia's pizzas , which is just behind the Karakum lemar. I would say they lean more to 'pizza express' style than 'pizza hut' style of pizza if you know what I mean but thats what I like. Suspect however that children would lean more towards a 'pizz hut' style pizza so might not be what you are looking for.

Try Mani Peni's: From Ozankoy heading towards Girne on the main road, turn right at the New Harbour roundabout and the restaurant is just on the right.

Also Mama Mia's, as msg 2.

We went to Spaghetti Junction next to Mardo's in Catalkoy and had a very nice meal and it wasn't expensive as I was lead to expect. We didn't have pizza but they were served at another table and looked very good. Yummies, who took over Pizza King, also have a place next to Astro in Girne and, of course, Manipeni's is good too.

I think all of them let you choose your own toppings, as Pizza King used to do.

Mark, as I believe you are a trained chef I would really be interested in why you prefer manipenis, I do enjoy Mama Mia's and I will certainly be trying Spaghetti Junction due to me living near there but I am now tempted to try manipenis and also yummies but I would like to know why people are offering them as better, just curiosity I suppose, I might have to try them all myself to get my own opinion if the wife lets me eat that many pizzas of course

Mannipennis is great for pizzas, not so good for pasta, pizzas are the best though.
