multiple log in identity errors

Hi,my login name is schnib,but as you may see i am logged in under a different name.This not of my choosing,but every time i attempt to rectify this i am prevented from doing so. This problem only arose today and so far i have been allocated four different log in names when i opened the 44 forum.Anyone got advice?Thanks-schnib

Are you using a shared computer? Ie internet cafe, hotel, bar etc?

Several people on C44 now seem to log on to C44 with a user name randomly allotted.

If you only have one acknowledged user name (as per the rules) you may ask board owner Izzet Zorlu the following:

- Can you check the integrity of the C44 data base on your server (no hacking?)

- Can you check the C44 data base for (partial) damage or major corruption?

- In particular: can you check the full integrity of my ID which is connected to: (write your user name).



There may be other reasons for the "confusion" but the above is a good start to solve the problem.

Forgot to say , sometimes you just type in a few letters and some names pop up , perhaps you clicked on poppin instead of poppins or the other way round , sometimes wrong spelling capital p instead small p or other way round , just a thought

Could it be that one had a the i dotted , but i see that one of the people was asked to select a new username because it would cause confusion , { they got that right } oh god ! i'm confusing myself now { it's not hard }

@ simbas: Unfortunately you leave out the fact that one has to fill in a USER NAME and A PASSWORD when logging in. Manually or via auto-fill (this option can be chosen in most web browsers). If you do it manually and you are sure that you fill in both windows correctly - then there is a problem with the C44 data base. If you've chosen auto-fill and things go wrong - then first check the hard disk on your computer for any malware.

Simbas, I think you will find that the Poppin will now revert to poppinbar, I used to post on that login to assist them with advertising a year ago, now a new person is running the bar and he was unaware so logged on as a new user 'poppin'. I called in today to give him the origial login, password and email and password. This may help to sort his future postings out, but does not explain how 2 different people have the same userid 'poppin'.

▶ See my msg 11: the chance that two people with the User name "poppin" use the same password is very, very unlikely!

Yes thank-you japeal , i knew about that one , but this whole situation is very strange , someone is posting under the name of JadeFarral which is not their username they just informed on another topic .

Hopefully Izzet will be able to do something.

You also write: ... people are using our pages ... Which pages? You don't have your own pages on C44 - you can post on C44 because board owner Izzet Zorly allows you to do that (for free).

Or did you mean something different in your post # 18..?!
