Hi Musti If my customs commission agent has got the amount of duty and taxes right I should be able to sell it for about £8750 that's complete with TRNC plates and road tax mot etc which is quite cheap when you consider that they are selling in the UK for anything between £7000 to 10,000

Let me know if you are interested and I will give you first chance to buy it when I get it here

Regards Phil

Nice little run about,good car.

Some lovely examples here.

Just out of curiosity, what is the duty payable on a 1.6cc car here if it is made in europe?

Just what is the point of your post. UK is 2753 miles away who gives a toss what auto trader advertisers are selling at is hardly relevant to the TRNC, have you not got nothing better to do ,however I should know tomorrow what is the tax , I have been advised about £4500, cost of driving down car ferries, petrol, overnight stops etc is about £1000 not including my time .Any other questions

mess 3 - Scooty you say similar cars in uk "between 7 & 10k", but "D'Amanda" has exposed you as being somewhat romantic with your prices.

And if you have imported the car there will be a condition stamped onto the log book that it can't be sold for 2 years - so i understand.

Flamefabs

Not sure if you are just another WUM, but Lets have a look at the autotrader link provided, Average price for a 58 plate with such low mileage, £4k, import duty and taxes £4.5k, so we are upto £8.5, delivery costs, £1k, so £9.5k and He's asking ????

2nd point, Not always the case.

I was curious of the duties,so i called some one who,s friend works in customs, all duties keep changing at the moment, but on a 1.6 model, you have KDV Plus stoppage, which i think is CC capacity,$1 per CC,in total he said you would be paying about 36 to 37% all together on book value or depending which valuer is on at customs some will actually take the Bill of sale as the value of the car,and thats what you pay your KDV plus stoppage,Bottom book is around 3800 and top book around 4700,maybe about £1800 to pay customs.Any CC capacity below 1.8 is very cheap when importing and paying customs.

Message 7, i was just shocked when you said selling price in the UK was between 7000 and 10,000. i thought cars in the UK where holding there prices very well there,so i just had a look in the auto trader which is a very good guide of car prices ,but not a guide of prices in the TRNC.

If boat and fuel and ur time is expensive to drive a car here, use dolphin,£995 on there transporter.

I was toying with the idea of bringing a car I own out, as here in UK I am involved with repairing and selling catagory C & D crash repaired vehicles, at the moment I have a Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 with only 11k and it would be ideal for Cyprus with most of the bells and whistles on including air-con, the car only had light panel damage and I would defy any normal person to find repairs, and it only owes me 5 stg just wondered whether I would be allowed to bring it into TRNC as I have only owned it for 6 months, also what would the import be roughly on it, is it based on price paid or UK Cap value.

Flame fabs if you do not know the rules please do not comment the 2 year rule is for personnel imports where a concession has been given on the duty.I am a motor trader with approx 50 scooters in stock as well as the cars I sell do you think I could afford to tax and register all these and then wait 2 years before selling them .I don't think so.

zeromaintenance I took the prices from a general web site that had mostly traders on it and those were the prices .Your friend forgot to tell you that the duty is based on the cost plus transport costs so a 4000 car would have duty levied on £5000,then you have the registration and road tax cost's ,Oh and then there is 16% kdv to go on as well. I will put a final price on the car when I know what the exact costs are if they are less than whats been quoted by my commission agent then I will reduce the price accordingly .

ttoli. What is a WUM please not familiar with the acronym

Chelpet sggest u ask 0m or ff as they seem to have all the

To the Forum administrators I think you should consider banning this poster .This is the email I have sent to oliveman

Oliveman.

I don't know who you are but take note and be warned if you continue your libelous statements on the cyprus44 forum I will instigate proceedings against you either in the TRNC or if you are posting from the UK I will start proceedings there. I will employ an investigator to find your real name and address.

You do not know me, you have never seen the car I have for sale, let alone checked the engine to make such statments and accusations that it has a problem with the cylinder head and that I sell problem cars .

I will post this email on the forum and ask the admin to ban you forthwith now they are aware of your libelous statements.

I Think you are a serious mischief maker as I do not believe you have a 2008 ford fusion for sale for that price as it costs £4000 for customs duty and another 1000 TL for registration and road tax plus 35 TL for No plates
