Hi everyone,

A few people stopped to ask me today where they can find me when I'm not at Chateau Lambousa on Saturday. Just thought it might be useful for me to add a post here to keep everyone up to date. You'll find me

Friday am: Carpenters Restaurant in Karaoğlanoğlu (from Girne, turn right after Bektaş supermarket)

Saturday am: Chateau Lambousa in Lapta

Sunday am: Pembe Gül Garden Centre in Ozanköy (road to Bellapais Abbey, next to K-Pet Petrol Station)

I recently imported a wide range of Calypso and Cabana sun tan lotions, oils, after suns and insect repellents in to North Cyprus.

But I've just received a further delivery and now also have face sun protection cream, lip cream, insect repellent (deet free), lotions for children (inc. blue sun tan lotion!) and Factor 50 spray cream.

If you can't get to a market let me know if you're looking for something in particular and we'll try to arrange to get it to you.

Oh, and discount prices are available if anyone wants to buy larger quantities either for own use or for resale in a shop or to friends (min 6 bottles per type must be purchased). Let me know if you want to know more.

And finally, in case you haven't had a chance to check out these markets, besides my sun tan lotions you'll find me with electrical appliances (toasters, kettles, irons etc) from all the European brands we recognise, hair clippers from Moser and Wahl and perfumes, aftershaves and bodysprays for everyone.

Well it's great - picks up everything - very powerful! Only one thing - the man told me it was definitely a re-usable, washable cloth bag when in fact, on closer inspection & reading instruction book it's actually a chuck away bag that needs to be replaced each time it's full! This is not a problem if I can buy the bags here - can you get me a supply of bags please? or, failing that, does anyone know where in the North I can get them?

There is a Miele shop on the right hand side of the main road between Girne and Lefkosa. It's in a newish parade near the Dikmen turn/speed camera area.

Hi Maggie,

Sorry I didn't get back sooner. Mmm, well yes, the manufacturer will not advise you that the bags are reusable since it won't be in their interests to do so, but my hubby is speaking from experience. The material bags can be emptied and reused a number of times before they wear out and other people I've spoken to who have hoovers with material bags have told us the same thing.

I was going to mention too that the Miele supplier is there on the road to Lefkoşa if you would be happier to have some spares on hand. I'm afraid we don't stock the bags here however, if you have a problem please do let me know and I'll see if someone is coming out from the UK who could bring some with them for you.

Thanks Pippie I will try the Miele shop and if I can get the bags there that'll be fine.

Many years ago (in another life!) I used to sell vacuum cleaners. Those bags have thousands of tiny holes in the to keep the dust in but let air though. If you empty the bag (by pulling all the stuff out of the little hole - yuck) the air filters in the bag are still clogged - this will work but eventually the motor will be damaged.

The only bags that can be safely reused are cloth ones that can be put in a washing machine.

Can I just point out to other forum members that this is not a complaint - I love the cleaner & am thrilled with it! Have bought all sorts from you stall, including my Dualit toaster! Great stuff at incredible prices!

Wait for it Maggie, somone will be telling you that you could have got them for 15 Euros in the south if you had just spent the money on petrol to get there and of course paid the 25 euros for insurance

ps. exchange rate @ this time 40 TL = 17.32 Euro

Ha but they'd have cost me far more than that Paul - As I'd have come back with a car load of stuff I neither need nor want!

Pippie,

Do you have a four slice toaster that you can use for 2 slices only if required? If so how much please?

Hi PC, sorry I haven't responded before now - I don't always come on line every day.

4 slice toasters are 40-80tl depending on brand and cost to me (customs etc!)

Please come along to any of the markets throughout the week where you can see what's on offer -

Thursday afternoon - Açmenya Restaurant in Alsancak (turn left at the Golden Lady, 1st left again then it's on your right)

Friday morning - Carpenters Restaurant in Karaoğlanoğlu (turn next right after Bektaş supermarket and it's on your left)

Saturday morning - Chateau Lambousa in Lapta (turn left straight after the LA Hotel and then left at the sign on the wall also for Club Alba)

Sunday morning - Pembe Gül Garden Centre in Ozanköy (on the road to Bellapais Abbey, next to the K-Pet petrol station)
