I apologise for be boring and starting another thread but as I have asked Mark not to keep using me as an example with false information on another thread and he is ignoring that I thought I should calrify the situation.

I made an enquiry to Mark around this time last year about whether there was a good online service available for getting the football on the Premier league as showtime which was who I had a subscription with had lost the contract.

Mark advised me to go with ADMC and get it locally in Qatar, I looked into this and pointed out that it wasn't available in Qatar. He then informed me that it was available in Dubai if I could get there and at a much cheaper rate than Paul (Washerman) was supplying it.

I stated previously that I used my company to pay for the trip to get this and a few other things in Dubai which is true up to a point. I actually used air miles and hotel points for the trip which I had accumulated through my company.

I managed to get through customs at the crossing near to Pyla but fortunately I had removed the reciever from the box as the customs guys decided to check my bag on a one in a thousand chance.

When I got home I went out and purchased a reasonably good dish, good quality coaxial cable and borrowed some test equipment for installing it all as well as some assitance from a telecoms engineer colleague.

It took some work but we got the unit working. If I had paid someone else I am sure it would have been done much quicker but then it would have cost more.

After a month or so the winds picked up and I lost the signal. It was at this time that I met Paul (washerman) by accident who after I told him of all the issue so far he offered to fix it for me but I declined gracefully as I was moving house soon.

When I moved house I also had the nmotorised dish installed in the first house moved and re-installed by the same person we bought it from.

The technician who moved the motorised dish also installed my self bought dish and hooked up for ADMC and all was fine for a while but then I returned home from a work period away to find that the reciever still worked but the football channels were now locked.



Here is where I would like to point out the difference between what really happened and what Mark keeps stating. I had not contacted ADMC in any way shape or form at this point since setting up the reciever with the original Dubai telephone number that I also had to purchase when I bought the decoder as advised bt Mark.

Why it stopped working I do not know, I tried to go to the website to browse for any advice but it would not let me login because I had the wrong IP ie North Cyprus/Turkey.



Mark, you are stating that what happened to me will also happen to Pauls customers but it hasn't, I don't know why and you claiming you do know without the full details is lieing.

So in the end Mark, I spent about 400 pounds equivelant on air miles and hotel points on top of the 160 pounds I spent on the reciever and phone sim card to set it up, not to mention taxis and meals at airports and hotels which I needn't have spent and most of all I spent a day away from my family that I needn't have.

I then had to purchase the dish and cable and spend alot of mine and a friends time setting it up for it only to fail once because I did a piss poor job of installation and the second time for which reason I still don't know and then I still had to pay someone to install it for me.

Now I realise that you were advising me out of the ggodness oif your heart but when you start to blame what happened to me as my fault and use it as an example that it will happen to Paul's customers I resent it. Pauls customers still have thier syatem at probably less price all told than I have paid so I made a bad choice.

But I didn't want to blame you or make myself look stupid.

It is not that I have done nothing about it Mark, it is that unless I go back to Dubai and get another sim card because I did not top the original one up within 6 months and it was cancelled, my alternative was to use an ip address showing I was not in North Cyprus, I tried to do it from Qatar explaining that I was at work there and they replied asking me to call them from a Dubai number.

Catch 22 really and if I had gone with Paul then maybe I will lose it in the future but I would still have it now, that as the person who paid for the system is the important thing, not whether you feel better about the advice you gave out.

As a final note Mark, because I am no longer getting involved in this whether my name is mentioned or not.

I find it extremely hard to believe that anyone with no alterior motive would be this vehement in dispute over the subject just to help people they don't really know and not to try and destroy someones business.

Mods, my purpose for starting this thread was to be able to get Mark to stop using my name as a tool in his disputes with Paul under false pretences and in a round about way I think he has done that, could you please delete it as it serves no other purpose now than to allow troublemakers every bit as bad as me a platform to create more friction.

I meant this whole thread Patricia, I started it because what I wanted to get across was too long to do on the existing thread so I started this one to get the information across to point out Marks incorrect assumption before he could interupt me with his own understanding. I think he has understood it now so I wanted this whole thread deleted before other people start jumping on the back of it like someone allready did to try and get another dispute going.

I don't really care if you leave it, I just wanted the mods to know that I don't care whether it is removed or not.
