renewal of temp visitors visa in north Cyprus

Can somebody please tell us what to do. last year we applied for the temp visitors visa for the first time. I believe we now do not need the health check as we are over 60. we have our piece of paper from the local muhtar and will get the ins and outs from thepolice station in Iskele. and then??

For one you dont need the ins and outs,you each need photocopies of your............



Contract or rental agreement

Passport

Last years residency stamp

Bank statement



Plus your passport and original muktars letter.

Some people have been asked for a Marriage Licence (if married of course) we didn't have ours and the police man in Girne said "never mind, you two look married" Most people don't get asked so there's no rhyme nor reason to that one I'm afraid. We were asked just to show photocopy of the front of our Contract and a photocopy of the back page showing that we had paid our taxes and registered with Land Registry.

You're right there Swany, bad planning on our part!!

I'll check out the BRS. Always forget about them. Dipkarpaz does isolate one a bit and we forget about officialdom.

It's so much more laid back, even the Muhtar does not charge here. He even comes to our house to do the paper.

I got 2 residency a month or so agobut he did insist on ORIGINAL KOCAN LETTER,not a copy as was OK previous year.

Do you have to have a local bank account for the temporary residency or can you show up to date bank statements for overseas bans?
