My friend is moving to Girne from Qatar to take up a teaching job and she is having problems finding a shipper that will ship to Northern Cyprus. They will ship to Larnaca. It is not much stuff. A few boxes, golf clubs, books and a few used electrical items. Will they have problems at the border? Anyone offer any advice. Thanks for your time

Talk to Jo Valentine she might know. I would think that it would be better for the goods to go directly north if possible via Istanbul but not something I am sure about.

Your friend shouldn't have any problem if she is shipping her stuff by air - Turkish Airlines fly from Qatar to TRNC, via Istanbul. Contact them for a quote. If it's sea freight, talk to somebody here like Armen Shipping in Famagusta as they can advise what is possible in such circumstances as they are shipping agents. Their phone number is 0392-3663565 - Vargin is very helpful there.

Hello Martin For Shipping from Qatar it used to be a matter of Full container only. I've just sent an email to start the ball rolling though and will report back to you. Cheers Jo Valentine http://www.jamesvalentineremovals.co.uk The Specialists in Removals and Shipping to and from Cyprus
