hi all!

just a few new changes to let you all know,

we have recently refurbished the restaurant and the garden has had a facelift! our regulars have commented on how even MORE beautiful the walled garden looks.

we've also completely ripped out and refurbished our wc's, surely they're the funkiest and cleanest toilets in kyrenia!



we have added a few new mouth watering dishes to our menu



Aromatic crispy duck, served with sweet potato chips on a bed of rokola salad, drizzled in peking sauce.

fillet of pork tenderloin,cooked with peaches,ginger and cumin,served in its own juices.

fillet of salmon served with a jumbo langoustine,topped with a queen scallop in beure blanc sauce..ooh la la!



we now have live jazz on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, 8 till late!

sunday lunches have had to come to an end as the scorching days are creeping in, we now serve our al a carte menu on sunday evenings...

It was all sounding great until it came to the 'live music' bit. How I long for a restaurant to advertise NO LIVE MUSIC. Can I be the only person on this planet who would prefer to enjoy a lovely meal in nice surroundings AND in PEACE AND QUIET? Slitting my wrists with a rusty Stanley knife blade beats the option on enduring endless appalling racket. I would 'do time' rather than listen to yet another Frank Sinatra 'wanna be' doing it HIS WAY.

BognorBelle I can say the music at Effendis is also tasteful, not loud and fine quality, not like you find at other venues.

Bognor, the music at Andy,s place is not your usual,not like having a curry and having to shout to be heard. It,s just a shame that the Sunday lunches have come to an end, but he-ho looking forward to al a carte. This is simply the place to go. Phil.

thanks riddles,

the blues/harmonica player is a valued customer of ours who just gets up now and again for a couple of songs.he really is a talented guy.

we often have impromptu performances from talented musicians.our house band have many accomplished musician friends from overseas and when they visit,they love to come to our restaurant and perform.

recently we have had concert pianists,viola players,saxophonist etc etc,and occasionally,the odd aging rockstars,drummers etc..

look out for efendi music nights in the summer months, we have some suprise guests coming over....we will let you all know in due course!

A refurb - Nice to see you have made lots of profit over the last few years and have your priorities in order - Hopefully you will make loads more and PAY the previous staff you owe wages to. Perhaps then the large group of people boycotting Efendis on principal would return.

Its nice to know i haven't been forgotten. I know Luaqhgt very well and he is a really nice guy. He's entitled to his opinon and to be truthful is only saying what i have been thinking for a long time. I always send people down to Efendis and i have always hoped to see the money i am owed. I have been waiting a long time. To see your comments posted saying how well you are doing is a bit of a kick in the teeth to be honest.
