I am posting this for a friend who does not have access to 44, can anyone help him with how to access accurate information before going to sea.

Depends where he's going fishing, Kyrenia?

Try the link below, if it's not the above,

click on "Show Map", above Spot Filter.

Then select the area you're going fishing,

by clicking on one of the 5 Wind GURU logos on the map,

then click on forecast.

Don't do fishing but I have found this site very helpful for waves

The link I have posted will give an animated 3 day forecast of the 'wind direction and speed' for the sea area 'Taurus' which covers Cyprus. You can click the appropriate button to change that to 'wave direction and height' which is the most important for fishing. It is also worth selecting 'Marinas' from the left hand panel and then selecting Girne from the map to get detailed info from the Girne harbour weather station.
