I wonder WHERE the funding would come from?

Due to the shape / locations of cities on the the island Paphos to Nicosia (via Limas(s)ol ) makes sense as the first part of any network.

Hopefully another route from Ayia Napa / Larnaca and one's starting from Famagusta and Kyrenia / Girne would follow...one day...

The airports and main centres of population would make a big difference.

Under the current financial situation, I think they should be looking at hot air balloons.
